At the heart of the hotel and positioned amongst the pools, nestled like a gourmet’s retreat at the centre
of the main restaurant’s pavilions, this unique place with its forty covers reflects the spirit of the other

• The decor, combining references to the traders of old to the French Indies with a
contemporary spirit reflecting the new world.
Utilising fine materials, varied textures, tables with classical simple lines fashioned out of rich
dark wood, curtains of grey coble stones which filter the light, all contributing to an
uncommon mood of serenity ther Compagnie des Comptoirs establishments.
• A creative cuisine served in an intimate setting, the cuisine of chefs Jacques and Laurent
Pourcel carries us away to the far off lands (Spain, Italy, North Africa, India, Asia) where
spices reign supreme. Their dishes envelop us in the flavours of the East.
Inspired by the abundance of Mauritius’ vegetables, exotic fruits, spices and amazing flavours,
the Pourcel brothers have especially included the following ingredients in their menus:
jackfruit, carripoulet (an indigenous fragrant leaf used in cooking), allspice, saffron,
indigenous miniature pumpkins, yams, local island rum.
