The brothers Jacques and Laurent Pourcel have chosen Véranda Resorts as partners for the opening of their 5th establishment, La Compagnie des Compoirs, their concept for a restaurant centred on the various cuisines of the world and designed to transport your senses to another level!

The trio Laurent and Jacques Pourcel and Olivier Château, honoured since 1998 by the Michelin Guide with two stars for their restaurant Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, created this new concept in which inspiration is drawn from the cuisines of far countries and the flavours of the south, and presented in an ambience that is always elegant and whets one’s appetite for voyages of exploration…

The winds of fortune have drawn them to a new South of less well-known charms…. those of the Heritage Golf & Spa Resort on the island of Mauritius. Mauritius, counting house of the navigators at the time of the spice trade with India, Mauritius, crossroad of cultures, Mauritius land of many flavours…

Utilising fine materials, varied textures, tables with classical simple lines fashioned out of rich
dark wood, curtains of grey coble stones which filter the light, all contributing to an uncommon mood of serenity ther Compagnie des Comptoirs establishments.

• A creative cuisine served in an intimate setting, the cuisine of chefs Jacques and Laurent Pourcel carries us away to the far off lands (Spain, Italy, North Africa, India, Asia) where spices reign supreme. Their dishes envelop us in the flavours of the East.
Inspired by the abundance of Mauritius’ vegetables, exotic fruits, spices and amazing flavours, the Pourcel brothers have especially included the following ingredients in their menus: jackfruit, carripoulet (an indigenous fragrant leaf used in cooking), allspice, saffron, indigenous miniature pumpkins, yams, local island rum.
